Achievement overview
How to Fish has 28 Steam achievements covering progression, quests, collection, skill, upgrades, discovery, gambling, bosses, economy, and challenge. Progression and quest achievements
'Getting started' unlocks when you kill your first creature. 'Who stole my beer' requires finding and killing the culprit and bringing it to the Lighthouse Keeper. 'Dinnertime' asks you to catch dinner for the lady in the forest. 'Vacation' involves helping a tourist swim. 'We are so back' is the standard game-completion achievement.
Skill and combat achievements
'Noob' is for a kill with no kill-score multiplier. 'Impressive' requires a 5x kill-score multiplier. 'Easy' requires killing a boss within 10 seconds — easiest on the Spider Crab with a strong weapon. 'Everyone's dream' asks you to kill a seagull with dynamite. The 360 No Scope achievement requires a full unscoped spin kill; weaken a normal creature first, find open ground, spin, and fire.
Collection achievements
'Drip' is for killing one drip creature. 'Fishipedia' requires killing all drip creatures. 'Collector' requires finding and killing all creatures. These are the longest achievements because the full creature roster is still being documented by the community.
Challenge achievements
'Bean' is the speedrun achievement: finish the game within 1 hour. This skips a lot of optional content and focuses only on boss progression. 'Handyman' requires defeating the final boss with your bare hands and is one of the hardest challenges in the game.
Upgrade, discovery, and gambling achievements
'Getting an upgrade' requires upgrading the boat engine once; 'I am speed' requires the best engine. 'Fully equipped' needs all attachments on one weapon. 'Grillmaster' unlocks the Grill. 'Yummy in my tummy' is for eating burnt food. 'I'm the bird now' is for making the boat fly. 'GOLD GOLD GOLD' comes from the slot machine legendary skin, and 'All in' is for winning a green roulette bet.
